does it built with LV2 plugins support? MIDIKit backend implemented or only dummy? Where I can found your patches?

No patching done, PR is up at haikuports:

Updated test hpkg for 64bit to the latest status:

https://codeberg.org/Begasus/HaikuTestDrive/raw/branch/master/packages/lmms-1.3.0~20250910-1-x86_64.hpkg

EDIT: checking the settings here I see that there is no MIDI interface (Dummy (no MIDI support)) reported.

Should check this with the current one still in the depot. (checked, also doesn't have MIDI support)

Updating some info as I find it:
LV2:

-- Checking for module 'lv2'
-- No package 'lv2' found

LV2 should be added here, how do I check this @hfs.fox ?

A little finger exercise in yab. Probably won’t be packaged, it is just something I wanted for myself as a complement to alert and filepanel.

Checking the update for GIMP, for this I enabled gir (gobject-introspection), so far I can’t find any references in the preferences and things seem to be fine still.

@3dEyes since you disabled it (patched it out) on the previous version, was there any specific reason to do so? (checking this also with the new PR for glib2-2.81.0 with included gobject-introspection).

Space Cadet Pinball, for those nostalgic moments.

Get it here: Misc Haiku utilities and ports - Browse /spacecadetpinball at SourceForge.net

A recipe for Space Cadet Pinball is also available here to use with haikuporter: Github

It includes a patch to replace some linux-y paths to Haiku ones and a different icon.

A pity music in it doesn’t work: Haikuports issue

(or at least it didn’t last time I checked)

View your Mind - mind-mapping without the usual massive Java overhead. This port is still a bit rough around the edges, but I’ll keep working on it.

Another round for Code::Blocks at least it launches now  but still not fit to realese.

EDIT: Some progress in finding the plugins. Recipe has been pushed (disabled) to haikuports repository. Maybe someone can tackle the final bits, giving it a rest untill a next try.

EDIT2: got some more plugins build installed:

Good news everyone!

I took another stab at updating GZDoom for Haiku and the newest version’s starting UI (ZWidget) is fully active within a couple of seconds (on this 15-yo pc that can’t really handle GZDoom in software mode) compared to my attempt a few months ago where it demanded way too much time.

Not sure about this new slight yellow tint on it tho tbh

On the other hand this new version required a couple more yucky tricks in the recipe to behave, but I’m sure somebody with more experience with this kind of stuff could improve the recipe further.

If you’re interested in compiling it yourselves you can find the recipe in this PR: Update GZDoom to v4.

Other than that I’ve been updating Chocolate Doom and ECWolf, but they’re much less exciting news because they’re both minor upgrades.

Nice addition to collection

A very early prototype for reading old 3dmix files; it doesn’t play audio yet, but it correctly positions the tracks.

Would be nice to get this back on par! Love it!

Found during a search on Sourceforge: some codebases that now claim to have Haiku compatibility (they didn’t claim that the last time I saw them). Listed here in case someone is interested in checking it out.

Conky is already in the depot (just not sure how “supported” Haiku is for that).

I’ve been trying to play the Doom Infinite mod under Haiku, it wants a ZDoom-compatible source port and requires hardware acceleration to play.

My old Athlon II x2 was having none of that ofc:

But I just got a “new” i3 pc and it’s playable now

Finaly got around (again) to launching 32bit Haiku on 64bit host with Qemu

POC @DigitalBox

Is there any specific usage to be able to do so ? Or is it just a proof of concept ?

First of is to check install for 32bit packages, checking dependencies and the likes without having to boot one of the native 32bit installs.

Second would be to quickly check haikuports builds (not there yet) for some small ports.
