Ahoy @Begasus,

For example, …as I proposed in my post ?

As I told earlier, this has been discussed but so far nothing has really happened so far. Maybe in the future it will be.

Thanks a million to @3dEyes who fixed KIO framework, we can now use KDevelop again (and a few other applications suffering from this). With that patch applied to the KF6 framework I"ve now been able to build the latest KDevelop 24.02.0.

I think it’s not related but… How about a port of K3B?

I’ve already ported k3b, but I have nothing to test it on yet - no DVD drive. I’ll try to find hardware for testing in the near future.

Nice!!! If this is on the repos? I can try It to burn something. Do you have any 5,25 " bay for a DVD burner on your computer?

Fidling around with FPC and hedgewars while checking out latest RC for Qt Creator I was able to build Hedgewars, still crashes on launching an actual game though

EDIT, the fixing pointer came from @Halamix2 ! +1

Playing around to get a package done for Lazarus, builds with Qt5 and Qt6 fine on 64bit, still checking out 32bit.

First results are promising.

Updated KDE KF6 to 6.1.0 and Gear to 24.02.2 here today, most of the local things working fine already.

GwenView 24.02.2

KDevelop 24.02.2 with checking out KRDC 24.02.2

Can’t create a new post, so just for the fun of it, konqueror 22.12.3 (I know it’s old! but the only one I managed to get building/running) (newer ones require qt5x11extras …)

Current KDE apps installed here (list is expanding)

Oldie, Konqueror 22.12.3 but still quite usable

W00t! (very hacky) :stuck_out_tongue:

‘Quite usable’ is a bit vague. Is it better than Falkon or WebPositive?

konqueror is the origin of khtml, which is the rendering engine that was forked to create webkit. IIRC konqueror can use khtml and old qtwebkit, so in either case the browser engines are a bit dated. Don’t expect to play and wasm webgl2 games on it ; )

That is the state on linux anyhow, I’m not sure how much this port to Haiku performs worse.

Doesn’t remember my pswd for FB for one, when I’m busy compiling/surfing, in/unstalling things for a whole day it tends to consume a lot of memory (but I see that with other apps too). It’s pretty hacked as in removed/commented out parts for Qt5X11Extras/X11Extras, so that parts needs to be done still, maybe by someone more skilled then me.
On the other part, I already had the latest Gear24 for Dolphin installed, those plugins didn’t show up in Konqueror, installing the Gear23 one solved that, and now I’m able to surf the web and local directory structure.

EDIT: not supported for the forum

Nice. Although I worship at the alter of Tracker, displaying a folder of images has always been a weak point for it. It’s nice to see such a folder well presented.

Itinerary (here 24.07.80), a boarding pass management application from KDE.
Been checking this one out (not that I plan any trips) for some time, current beta seems to be running pretty good.

Playing around with psutil and applications that depend on it, was able to use pip3 to install Vorta (that uses borgbackup) and Spyder, both older version that are still functional (later versions require PyQt6 et all that are not available in the depot).

Searching the net for some KIO issues stumbled into Carla

No recipe yet, just did a version bump at the buildmasters for the latest antivirus software clamav.
Wanted to see if there was a GUI somewhere available.

ClamAV-GUI seems to do the trick

Is that in the depot?

Which one? The last screenshots show ClamAV-GUI, that’s not in the depot (yet), clamav is though.

I have clamav installed and I have been using it. It’s a great app.
