Parallel port access & ECP compliance

Hi all,

To get right to the point, I am hoping to interface Haiku with the Zektor’s ZVG Vector Generator board (http://www.zektor.com/zvg/index.html).

Doing so would require using the parallel port in ECP mode (usually set in the machine’s bios). I’ve done alot of BeOS programming, but never accessed the parallel port before. Does Haiku expose an kind of API of any kind for this?

I was hoping anyone familiar with Haiku could chime in on their thoughts with this…I thought it would be a fun 1st project to bring me into Haiku : )

Heh, I’m afraid there’s no parallel driver for Haiku yet, so that could be your first project instead :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s some ‘legacy’ hardware drivers missing for Haiku, lots of newer hardware (even USB these days!) is at least partially supported :slight_smile:
