It’ll only be when my Windows laptop is on, so don’t expect any huge high power contributions. Pity my 26GCems for TeamBeOS -years- back couldn’t be brought over… every little helps, like

I have 2 older laptops that I used to run it on - I simply used the intel speed stepping to drop it down - ran a bit slower, but also ran a lot cooler…
I’m running on AMD64, is there anything similar to Intel Speedstep?

Hmm…I don’t know what technology AMD offers for mobile users to reduce power when they’re on battery power - but that would be the same you would use to underclock the processor I’m sure.

yup, AMD64s have PowerNow, which will reduce clock speeds under light load unless you tell it not to (let userspace take over).
