One thing I have noticed with Haiku Alpha 3 is that anytime I am connected to the network and want to play audio or video media; the playback is lethargic and choppy. If I disconnect from the network, the problem goes away. I know that Alpha 4 is around the corner; so is this an issue only existing Alpha 3 that will be solved with Alpha 4 OR has this issue ever been reported?
This point probably to a network driver issue. Could you check what your adapter is and search a bug ticket regarding this adapter, as you should not be the only one to have such issue.
If you’re actually, please file a new bug ticket with as much technical info as possible (attach your /var/log/syslog file content right after seeing this bug to your/the existing ticket).
Thanks.
If you can still reproduce it with the latest nightly http://haiku-files.org/haiku/development then it’s worth filing a bug report at https://dev.haiku-os.org
Yeah, still happens with the nightly. I’ll try to submit a defect ASAP!

Sorry, I glossed over you comment (by accident) and didn’t take your advice. I’ll be sure to do that by the end of the weekend.
