Need help with Haikus media drivers and stuff for DVD playback?

I am currently useing Haiku R4 Alpha and while I can play commercial CD’s I can not play DVD’s. Does haiku not come with the drivers, codects, or programs to Read DVDS with Mpeg like linux and Windows does? I have no idea on how to do it and I would realy like some help please.

So how do I install the stuff to get DVD’s to work. What programs do I need, where do I get them and where do I put them. I am not that good at Haiku yet so please if you can make a step by step tutorial if you please so I don’t get lost.

The built-in media player currently doesn’t play DVDs, but VLC Media Player (get it here: http://haikuware.com/directory/view-details/multimedia/video/playback/vlc-media-player ) will.

Thanks, but what is with all the mpeg tools for?
