Motherboard Compatibility Questions

I am looking to build a dedicated, low cost Haiku box. For the motherboard I am looking at the Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H. This board uses the Intel H55 Express Chipset. It appears to have been released in 2010. I can not find any information on compatibility with this chipset. I would like to document the build and have it as a guide to building a low cost Haiku box.

Has anyone tried using it before?
Does anyone have a better recommendation?
Can I go with the AMD FX chipset?

I would like to keep all the component costs to less than $450 + tax & shipping.

Here is a link to the manufacture’s web site

Well I still have not found anything on the H55 chipset. It does appear that the AMD 880G chipset works with Hiaku. So now I am looking at the Gigabyte GA-880GM-D2H AMD 880G Motherboard - Micro ATX, Socket AM3, AM 880G Chipset, 1600MHz (O.C.), SATA 3.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN.

Does anyone have any experience with this board/chipset?
