Microsoft Surface 2 Pro successful Beta 3 boot

I don’t even think he has the possibility. Everything on these machines is soldered, and the only expandability is USB, which doesn’t work for now.

It’s a sealed unit. To open it requires melting glue and removing the front glass, which is very likely to crack the screen, as it is quite fragile and large. I have heard of the internal storage being replaced, as it is a M2 style chip, but the rest is soldered to the logic board. 128GiB is enough for Haiku, so I am not motivated to change the storage.

I got it used, and it was my laptop for years, so it served me well. It is just redundant now as I have a better MacBook Pro, so it barely gets turned on. I would like to make it have a purpose and I’d also like to be able to run Haiku 64 bit.

Indeed supported by usb_asix

It is not very stable - I have seen it fail and prevent any networking from working. But it does seem to work up to a point. I would assume it will get better over time as fixes happen to the USB stack.
