LocalSend: Simple and fast cross-platform file sharing on Haiku

Works perfectly when sending a file to a MacOS LocalSend client. But when receiving, it claims to have received the file, even puts it in the transfer history, but the file is just not there.

EDIT: Cancel that comment. It just needed a restart to find the new download directory I had put in the settings. Just clicking on “Apply” was not enough.

Thanks a lot for the feedback; I’ll fix it tonight and add two or three other little things that crossed my mind today :D.

Please, could you check if, when you send a file from your Mac to Haiku, it generates any attributes for the file saved on Haiku?

The post has been flagged and removed as the post itself was clearly modified by an LLM.

This sentence has been clearly generated by an LLM too:

Human would never use brown as background! Or not?

The background indicates that the message is an official message from the forum staff. You’ll sometimes see it on posts by moderator accounts, too, not just the “system” user.

I wrote the message myself.

There is at least one very obvious indicator that LLMs directly generated (and not just translated) at least a portion of it, even if some parts were written by you.

That’s just what you say.
Were you with me while I was writing it?

Will you write the message for me in 10 minutes, or are you going to reply to me right away?

You know what?

Send me the link to delete my account and all my posts, so we can be done with this farce.

Thanks
Andrea

After a certain threshold, Discourse removes the “remove all posts” option for moderators, and instead allows the account to be anonymized. Would you like me to do that?

This is an ugly atitude

Edit:He is just doing software for haiku and you will ban him? wtf!
