Keyboard not always found on boot

Been using Haiku for a while and I enjoy the unique user experience it offers. I want to thank the developers for their effort. However, there is a weird issue on my ASUS A513EA laptop - sometimes the keyboard only works after several reboots. Should I file a bug report or is it a known problem on any hardware?

Update: here are some potentially relevant lines from syslog when it doesn’t work
KERN: ps2: devfs_publish_device input/keyboard/at/0, status = 0x00000000
KERN: ps2: keyboard reset failed, status 0x80000009, data 0x00
KERN: ps2: keyboard probing failed

Welcome Whatevr!

There seems to be a similar issue reported as ticket #17800. You may want to add your hardware info there and keep an eye on it if there’s news on testing.

Thank you, will do just that, though in my case USB mouse works at all times (touchpad does not, but it is no big deal).

It may not be the same problem after all, but the dev that will hopefully eventually look into it (no promises…), can judge that and may request further info or a new ticket.
