Kernel Debug & Trace Environment

I am trying to access the kernel trace environment in haiku but I am not sure what the right way is for doing that? after haiku booted or in boot loader phase?

Let say I actually get in; what are the oprations I could do inside? What commands could I use? how to export something back to the user environment (i.e userland).

Then there is the matter of getting back!

Maybe the article Welcome to Kernel Debugging Land… can shed some light. I have no experience with the kernel debugger whatsoever…
