I need keyboard and mouse block for children when my HkPC (Haiku PC) is working in a important process, such as burning CDs, writing documents and others.
What do you think?

Could be done quite easily with an input_server filter that drops all input, but how do you suggest turning it back off again?
Perhaps you could buy an USB keyboard, you simply unplug n hide when needed

Probably just a certain keystroke combination that the user could define (and it would maybe even show a reminder on the screen for the duration of the “blockage” at the user’s option)
Afterall, the requirement was just to protect the machine from accidental child-destruction.
I’ve noticed that my kids focus their destructive nature on the power-button on the front of the case - for some reason the little LED that lights it up makes them want to push it when I’m not watching.
I would equate this with Window’s “Lock Computer” option… which I find pretty useful at work and at home.
Maybe a screen saver with password protection would suffice for that as well - all keyboard/mouse input would be directed to the screen saver in that case. I don’t know, though, whether BeOS/Haiku permits the implementation of password protected screensavers, though …
Indeed, a screen saver could do what you need. Here is a BeOS screenshot:
Use the “Fade Now When Mouse Is Here” feature to immediately activate the screen saver when the mouse is moved to that particular location.
Alternatively, you can use the “Lock Screen” feature (we’ll see if that will be part of R1 ).
