Hrev on which was tested: 56004 (nightly)
System Type: x86_64
Running from: direct hardware
Model: B575e (Laptop Computer)
Manufacturer: Lenovo
Rating: Works fine except WiFi and non-VESA Graphics Driver
Startup the system from: USB thumbdrive
Boot options needed?: nothing special
Processor/Cores: AMD E-Series 1.75 GHz 2 Cores (according to Pulse)
Memory: 4GB (the laptop does not support more)
Graphic cards/count: AMD Radeon HD 7340 Wrestler (according to Devices)
Vesa needed?: yes
Graphic card status: After boot, the screen goes white first and then a colored streak pattern appears. Booting with safe-mode graphics works fine.
Sound cards: AMD Wrestler HDMI Audio + AMD FCH Azalia Controller (onboard)
Soundcard status: just works (would be cool though if we had a way to play a test sound or a sound demo instead of having to go to YouTube in WebPositive)
Networking cards: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express
Network card status: works right out of the box
Wireless Networking cards: Broadcom BCM4313 WiFi Adapter
Wireless Network card status: Does not work. Tried to run install-wifi-firmwares.sh, but this did not seem to have any effect. Maybe there is a good reason why the user isn’t offered to run it when a corresponding device is first encountered, not sure. Even after a reboot, the WiFi adapter does not show up in Network Preferences. The script did throw a few errors, though I believe they were mostly related to firmware blobs for other adapters.
USB types/cound: 3x USB-A
USB cards status: booting from USB works, so did a mouse I connected for testing
SD cards: *1 SD card slot, *
SD cards status: not detected, tested with a SanDisk ExtremePro 16 GB card
Integrated Webcams: Does not work. CodyCam reports “Cannot find a video source”
Did you have to blacklist hardware?: no
Additional notes: Touchpad, touch scrolling and mouse buttons work, Fn+control keys for screen brightness and volume control do not work. The system without apps running uses 292 MB of RAM for me. Good system to run Haiku on IMO if you’re ok with VESA mode and without WiFi and webcam.
