I noticed that BeBits.com has been down for at least a week, maybe longer. I also noticed that HaikuWare.com is down.
Then I did a whois search on GoDaddy (which is the registrar for both domains) and both have EXTREMELY similar entries. They are both protected by ‘DomainsByProxy.com’ (to protect their contact info), and both have their own unique domain servers in the same style.
Does anybody have any idea what is going on with these two sites being down for so long?
As mentioned here in the forums, as well as on the mailing list - you might want to contact the owner(s) of both domains and find out what the deal is.
I may have missed something, but I thought that BeBits had been taken over by anonymous new management and there was supposed to be a future announcement (which may now never happen) of who that new management is. So we don’t know the owners.
The owner is aware of the situation, but is currently unable to rectify due to being on a trip away from home. Not that I know for certain, but I would expect him to get both sites back up running when he gets back home (when that would be, I don’t know).
