I’ve tried the Haiku live-CD on my IBM Netvista 6792 and it works OK. Once it ran I only needed to change the screen resolution from 1280 to 1152 because I saw small lines (noise) Sound works right and ADSL cable too ( I’m writing this from WebPositive) You can see a screen capture here: http://imm.io/bASu.
