Haiku on USB flash drive?

Haiku version pre-alpha-r29768 had booted on my VIA KM266. I was surprised.
Newer versions: haiku-pre-alpha-r30526 and haiku-pre-alpha-r30621 did not boot.

What problems did you run into while booting r30526 & r30621?

If it goes into a KDL, enter “sc”. What does it say ?

This is easy nowadays. Download the Haiku beta2 anyboot image, copy the ISO file to a memory stick and reboot. I use Win32 Disk Imager rather than DD since it has a simple GUI interface.

What’s the point of replying to a 12 year old topic like this please? The procedure is I think well documented on the website. Let old messages in the forum rest in peace in the deep abyss of post history!

The answers given were horribly out-of-date. Also, this message was flagged as unread by the forum software, I didn’t go looking for obscure old topics to reply to.
