Old livestream from a Brazilian linux youtuber trying out Haiku
Simply the best FOSS desktop OS there is, outside of the Windows and Unix families
Author is never going to let go of the notion that Haiku isnât a Unix, are they?
The only certified unix I know off is MacOS, but in any case arguing semantics here wonât change anything. If you have a different opinion you can email the author ; )
Or donât. I argued with him about this a fair amount around the time of beta4, and while he defines the terms strangely, I think heâs at least consistent, and wonât even call Linux âa Unixâ, but only the BSDs and other things derived from them. I think this is silly, but itâs not really worth antagonizing people over. The point has been made, and this article at least calls Haiku âUnix compatibleâ, which is enough.
