Haiku Contract Report: October 2021 | Haiku Project

Haiku Inc. is a non-profit. Someone like me could potentially donate a slightly newer system to this non-profit for Haiku development usage. @korli What system are you currently running? Is it a Core2 Duo or Quad? I think a couple years out-of-date i3 or i5 could be obtained somewhat cheaply nowadays. Maybe I’m underestimating the size of the code base. I’m currently running on a 6-year old i7 because the software I build doesn’t take long to compile even on it.

How many processes? I’m building with -j16

I have a amd 8350 puledrive system sitting collecting dust, I’d be willing to out it online as a builder

Core 2’s are still great machines, especially some of the higher end models, IMO that was one of the last generations that Intel did it right, even after the NetBurst fiasco.

Please fill a bug report with syslog…

Someone suggested to share his powerful computer for building the qtwebengine remotely. So if to compile qtwebengine with enabled debug ? Also there are many stubs in the Kasper’s patch and one or some of them may causing Falkon falling on CSS and JS.
