How many ram you set up for installation? (Minimum 512)
Does it boot fine from the virtual live CD at least ?
If not did you tried to set a sata cd/dvd drive instead of SCSI ?
I don’t know vmplayer though I’m using virualbox instead.
I have change the CDROM from Sata to SCSI and IDE, but nothing works. I have the same problem.
It works now. I have created a new partition under the x86 version. Then the image in VM connected and selected in the installer. Then the installation is running.
It does not run smoothly after restarting. Depends on time.
