Getting a New Laptop

Well as I’ve metion elsewhere I’m going to be getting a new laptop pretty soon, and I’m looking at a few models. I was hoping the Haiku comunity would like to offer there insight and opinions. I’m on a budget to get a laptop and truthfully all of these are a bit over that limit but I’m trrying to get one of these if I can.

At the moment I’m down to three Laptops,

Uniwill N259EN Portable Intel Mobile M
Processor: Intel Pentium M 725 “Dothan” pinmoded @ 2.13ghz L2=2MB
Size: 15.4inch
Video: nVIDIA GeFORCE 6600 256MB, and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900(both internal, can use one for better performance, or the other for better battery life)
Memory Type:512mb DDR2-533MHz MEMORY (Max Limit: 1GB)
Optical Drive: DVD-RW
Weight: 6.43lbs
Cost: Highest

Uniwill P50CA
Processor:AMD Turion 64 Mobile ML-37 (2.0GHz) 35W L1=128KB L2=1MB, OR AMD Turion 64 Mobile ML-34 (1.8GHz) 35W L1=128KB L2=1MB
Size: 15.4inch
Video: ATI RADEON X700 128MB
Memory Type:512mb DDR 333/400 (Max Limit: 2GB)
Optical Drive: Dual Layer DVD-RW
Weight: 6.8lbs
Cost: Mid

Asus Z71V Intel Mobile M
Processor: Intel Pentium M 725 “Dothan” pinmoded @ 2.13ghz L2=2MB
Size: 15.4inch
Video: nVIDIA FX6600 128MB
Memory Type:512mb DDR2-533MHz (Max Limit: 2GB)
Optical Drive: DVD-RW
Weight: 6.6lbs
Cost: Lowest

All also have the following: 40GB HD, 4-in-1 Media Card Reader, and Intel PRO Wireless 2200 802.1b/g.
The ones with Intel Processors also have Gigabit LAN(10/100/1000), the AMD has 10/100.
I also plan on later adding more RAM to whatever system I get, when funds allow.

I’d avoid the one with the ATI video card since we have much better support for nVIDIA cards.

The sound and network chipsets are missing from these specs…that might help the decision.

Well all have Intel PRO wireless 2200 which I think is supported, and I use wireless connections alot.

For the Intel processor systems I think they have Built-into the motherboard Intel HD Audio "Azalia" chips (Realtek ALC880).

For the Asus laptop, it has Marvell Yukon 88E8001 for its wired networking. The Uniwill Intel doesn’t say what the hard wire network chipset is, but they both Intels use similar motherboard chipsets (915GM and 915PM) if that helps anyone indentify anything.

For the Uniwill with the AMD processor I found that the motherboard was had VIA K8T890 & VT8237R chipset. As for sound all it said was "Fully complaint AC 97 specification". As for its hard wire networking all I could find was that it was made by Gigabite.

So any comments?
