Hello! I’m Vincent, and I want to post here with you fine people because I think that this is a time for us all to rejoice at the wonderful possibillities laid out before us here now!
The motivation for this post now is the veritable excitement; indeed, even elation over the prospects of a new OS along the thin line BeOS scryed out for us in its hayday. It was just wonderful to boot up BeOS and be on, and quickly! And now, being an artist, Im in a fervor to experience the quick interface and intuitive display of Haiku, and as yet I love the Logo! It puts me at peace. Just as BeOS had before it, unlike the aggravation of a Windows system, despite all efforts by MS to cool down the flames of the experience with XP, and oh, I can already see Longhorn coming...
Lets face it, Windows is fat. Let me take a moment to draw a few parallels: McDonalds fine quizine, the SUV...Newt Gingrich (Oscar Wilde on Gingrich: "He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I ever met." lol, the most words, the smallest idea...microsoft.) And not to pull Microsofts halo down around thier neck and, tug them off thier cloud, but never once have I seen elegance in quantity in any Windows implementation, has anyone else felt this way? I'm dead to rights at the mercy of it!
Apple. Apple is a company that deserves at least some respect, as pretty and stable as they are... Pretty, and stable. Like that woman, look, you see her right? Shes got the look, we both can see it, that blue heart baby, shes got a great therapist, and wants most of your money, no? Anyway, that brings us toooo...
Linux...
No thanks.
Thier heart is CERTAINLY in the right place, most of them, but, it's just not for me, at least until I get my BS in Computer Science. And I like it that way, hard and gritty, sometimes outright unforgiving. Let not the fluffy nerfness of MS, equally aggravating as it is comforting at times, touch this OS. And the question must be posed, why fiddle with Linux, when you can glide along with what will (I pray) become Haiku?
