El-Al jumps in at the deep end!

can someone point me toward a fairy up-to-date tutorial for writing audio drivers…I think I may be about to drown

I have an Audiowerk2 board lying around doing nothing and I’m sick of it…doing nothing!

Shame really, as they really were a nice quality soundcard (when you could get them to work)

It’s a Philips SAA7146A based chipset. Obviously, there is very little to no support for it this side of the OS divide.

Sheesh! I remember, even the Win32 drivers were pants! The support from Emagic was equally pants! The HOURS I spent trying to set it up in Win200 is nobody’s business.

You might also want to post to the mailing list, where the majority of the developers hang out; they’re always looking for extra help and I’m sure they’ll point you in the right direction.

I have thought about it…just need to get over the fact that I’ll probably come accross as a complete doofus by asking rediculous questions!

Thanks

El-Al
