it’s a shame that it isn’t several smaller auctions… and that it’s not in the US…

That book is still in print. Just ask your bookstore. I got it less than three months ago, new (well 2002 or so) printing from my local bookshop. Damn expensive though (55EUR), but its served me well
I tried to get it awhile back and was told it had been deleted.
I was hoping it would get opened up like the Programming the BeOS book did.
