Try entering the boot loader and set Haiku to use fail-safe video mode (VESA), as described here:
https://www.haiku-os.org/docs/userguide/en/bootloader.html

If you want to make this option stick, so you don’t have enter the boot loader and set options
on every boot, there’s a kernel settings file somewhere in you home folder, which can be used
to set some of these options permanently.

Another idea is to remove the nvidia driver files, which should make Haiku
automatically fall back to fail-safe video mode, IIRC.

I was going to suggest removing the video card completely if you have on-board video.

I try to do this (press and keep holding the SHIFT key before the beginning of Haiku’s boot process.). But nothing changed (Black Screen). I try the same DVD on a Acer Laptop and all wents good.

How I can do this? Edit the iso-File?

Do you think, the video-card is the problem?

What do you want to say?
About 64 Bit? I try the iso form here:
http://haiku-files.org/unsupported-builds/x86_64/

IIRC, several video drivers are not considered stable yet in x86_64 flavor.
Could you retry with latest x86 32bits nightly build image?

R1/Alpha 4.1 boot ?

I tried this with:
http://haiku-files.org/haiku/development/
but same result.
The little points in the upper left corner appeared short a time and after this: nothing.
It doesn’t matter, if I press and hold [Shift] or not.

I also load the ISO-file into the programm isomaster and delete 3 nvidia Files, bulid a new ISO-file and boot again with the new ISO-File on DVD. Nothing.

R1/Alpha 4.1 boot ?[/quote]
Yes.

I install Haiku now in a Vitualbox machine onto the same computer with Linux as Host.

Thanks-

Just wanted to add that I had my local store try both Alpha 4 and the latest nightly, both failed to boot on a I7-4770 on the Intel motherboards in stock.

And I need a new machine too :frowning:

I guess like with Ivy and Sandy Bridge, Haswell architecture introduced some changes that we don’t support or expect yet.

Could you try to catch the boot syslog and file a ticket then?

I have to ask the store manager and see if he will let me try.
