Well, I applied this morning’s updates and after the reboot BeTon showed up in HaikuDepot.
So that’s good, at least.
Great music native app, I’ve just tested it with the music folder on my NAS : working like a charm

I really like it, but the attributes of my ripped cd files are not detected.
What am I doing wrong?
Probably nothing :-D. Currently, BeTon does not yet read the BFS attributes (I tried it with certain fields), but the implementation is not yet complete. I have to fix many other small bugs first.

Thanks for the info, I just assumed it would read the attributes since it is a native application

No, I am just slow and don’t have time to work on it currently. But in May I have a few days off, then I will fix more things

i tried to stay with the original design but fixing it, IMO, to fit better the haiku icon style, not sure about the result
I tried it briefly because I found that only few files shows up, but my collection is made up especially by opus/ogg files and few “mp3/m4a”s (those I see), is this a known issue?

Of course it might be a bit hard to understand for people that don’t speak German or at least know that Beton means concrete.

sometimes there is not need to understand the pun about an app name, one just have to accept it (btw in italian a concrete mixer is called “betoniera”, so the pun is undestandable)

Same in Dutch, Afrikaans and Danish. The Swedes and Norwegians turn it into “Betong” - close enough. French fiddles with the vowels a little and arrives at “béton”. Amazingly, it even works in Polish.

I have a small red plastic CRT color TV with built-in cooling fan and RCA VIDEO IN/AUDIO IN connectors - branded AudioTon.
It turned out it was an Austrian firm
established in Wien, Austria in 1984.
AudioTon is an Austrian brand for far east consumer electronics products, which were also exported to Hungary and Slovakia. Identical devices were sold under the brand TEC or Condor in other countries.

Well, i improved the BFS Attribute Support. Also you can now Sync your Attributes with your Tags. Its already in the repo. If you want to test it, please build from the main repo, start the new binary, File → Manage your Folders, double klick on one entry at a time, now you have a menu to set the primary and secondary source and the mode for metadata. After that you can sync between the But please test it with a copy of your Media Library, it still might have some bugs and you dont want to mess up your library.

Thats strange, libtag should be able to read the vorbis comments so at least .ogg files should work. But indeed .opus wasnt in the list, i just added it via the WebUI of github. Feel free to test it out.

I was about to ask if it is an imperial ton or a metric ton. Now I know.
It seems that it is mainly the English-speakers who need to be re-educated!
