I am interested in getting a version of BePodder that will install on Haiku A4. Obviously, the latest version is packaged up for HaikuDepot on the road to Haiku B1. I wanted to take advantage of BePodder to follow some of the Haiku related RSS feeds.
You could extract the files from the package and manually install them in the right places in Haiku R1A4.
Boot up a newer Haiku (nightly version likely) from CD or USB, install BePodder using Haiku Depot, then find the .hpkg file (usually in /system/packages). Use a Terminal window and the “package extract bepodder-1.3.0-2-x86_gcc2.hpkg” command, or right click on the .hpkg file and use the Open With Expander menu option. After that, get the files to your R1A4 system and move them to appropriate places.
