So, here you are my answers below …
Well, partly I wrote similar in another thread ( Where are you from, Haiku / BeOS user? )
I wrote about BeOS and OS/2 - in 2022 - as I met both of them in the same montly magazine of Hungary at early 1990’s.
So then about Haiku …
I joined the mentioned outsourcing division of IBM at ERP department (SAP 24/7) at 2001, and once in a night shift , if I remember well, I discussed some problem with a guy on automatic system check department in early 2000’s and after I think he has a Haiku or BeOS T-Shirt or mug, I do not remember, and I was informed about Haiku and told him I had not PC to try out BeOS when I had my install CD. On forum his ninckname is ‘dsjonny’ , some years ago in private I contacted him, but as we were no connection and he had not remebered me, I let it as is ..
So then I left the firm at the end of 2015, and bought a Dell WST grade laptop and stuffed - maxed out RAM CPU/GPU + 1 TB M.2 SSD, however stiil used with Windows 7 I bought with … Despite at IBM years I mainly used Ubuntu (all actual Thinkpad laptop) and Xubuntu (torrent and fileserver Asus P4 IDE+SATA II desktop PC) for my daily use.
Later - 2016 or 2017 ? - I bought a cheap old Win XP Dell Inspiron 9100 from US on eBay, and installed
Haiku Beta(3?) 32 bit on a USB 2.0 pendrive – using as hobby PC and hobby OS, just as the XP on it.
I visited forum frequently, but had not joined as forum member until Summer of 2021.
I used my Dell Precision M6700 as my main PC, untill I broke its boot config with absent-mindedness during holiday season at Christmas leave in 2018. (I installed a Linux onto an SDXC card, and left it in the reader, and at the process end I confirmed to reboot, then stupid Windows wrote the boot config has problem, do I want to fix it ?.. I should have stand up, shut down remove the card and boot again .. instead of that, as I was red something on my smartphone I let stupid Windows do the “fixing” that was setup default boot stuff and shuffled letters due to the new drive letter of SDXC card and it was done - boot left spoiled).
So I started to use the XP on small Dell Inspiron, and then I used Haiku x86 32 bit Beta 2 Live installer since its release from CD-ROM for probing Haiku, and in 2021 Holiday season installed the Haiku 32bit onto a a 16GB USB 2.0 pendrive.
In 2021 I had an attempt to have a BeOS/Haiku user meeting/conference in the beginning 2022 - partially succeed, as in February of 2022 3 of us met in extrowerk’s flat, and was chatting, I tried install Haiku x86_64 64 bit Haiku on Dell Precision M6700 onto a pendrive or SDXC card in a USB reader, Dávid and Zoltán worked on some development stuff, have a dinner, and however I failed to install to 64 bit Haiku Beta 3 already then … it closed as good meeting and event as well.
This period 2020-2022 brough many new stuff into Haiku.
During 2023 I managed to install Haiku 64 bit Beta3 on pendrive, and as there were Intel wifi in Dell Precision, I had no driver issue but the discrete GPU. The most unnecessary investment in that laptop was a newer WST grade mobile Nvidia GPU with bigger RAM size ( 8 GB instead of 2 GB than I bought with) - I could not use it in Windows 7 and even less in Haiku. Now I have 2 memory stick error of four in M6700 - so that Presision is in treasure vault and I use a one year later release M6800 I bought in 2024.
During 2023 and 2025 I used Haiku 64 bit as daily driver - first parallel R1beta4 and Nightly and later upgraded onto R1beta5 and Nightly - Since 2025 Spring I have R1beta5 just as spared Haiku.
As I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad P52 + Dell M6800 in 2024 holiday season from a loan as planned to have 2 system built for have streamer rig (Lenovo) and a Haiku system I would stream about ( Dell M6800 ), but an eye issue that terrified me stopped that planning.
It resolved by operation, but the money left during several jealth issues like accident in previous year and that operation - still you cannot have yet another tutorial videos from me in Hungarian 
From the loan I also bought a new hobby PC as well - a Dell Precision M6400 Orange Covet WST grade PC, such like I cannot buy in case M6800 in Red Covet Edition. It is a maxed out version. However now I know what not maxed out in any of DELL - no ECC RAM 
Unfortunately I had issues - in Haiku as well - from memory errors too. I hate when itm turns out the fault is in my rig only, and because faulty hardware. Fortunately these Dell machines even the small Inspiron has Diagnostic tools. Ok, there are free diagnostic images with ton of programs, but very convenient to have it on the machine itself - built-in.
This Quad Core2 Extreme based laptop is stuffed with Broadcom as well, so I’m happy, as Broadcom is thin in Haiku support, that I can understand their propritary and problematic driver config with upgrading and necessary separated firmwares.
Against that I had run Ribeta6 test there also, and have issue with mouse input only in TC0 .. ok , upgraded TC0 all new level stucks at icon that shows packages mounted … so I boot it with TC0 and watch KDL at sometimes I still had not reported yet … well as lately opened tickets silent around so, they may discourage me a bit.

So I switched back to use Linux as daily driver, but not so much I cannot use for Haiku as well.
Unfortunately, the browsers and some other applications which have parts should be modified, and ported that way that remained in the packagefs leave some parts that can use or modify on Linux than to dispute it with devs or persons where to mark the issues with not working parts, so I stopped caring with as I usrely wont use github or any other else report issues. So I use them on Haiku AS they are ACTUALLY IS, and use elsewhere I can at full capacity related configuring to supporting my native language and else stuffs do not work actually as lacking frequent refresh like YT lua script in VLC remain read-only and freezed in Haiku due to packagefs.
Now I frequently switch between installed Linux Mint, and pendrive based Haiku instances, but mainly for Nightly.
So that so much about Haiku, machines on I use them - and me on the Haiku forum.
The old BeOS install CD, the former colleague I mentioned above, the many YT videos I watched, the forum I had red far long earlier than joined as member, curiosity, the successes I solved on several machines with several Haiku instances and pendrives, the progress of Haiku during years - altogether.
The colorful Desktop , the look and feel, the hours and experiences I gained with Haiku, I have almost the multimedia OS I like - I am not a gamer.
I do not fear to use a terminal, that is miracle and wizardry, if a program, now called application, that works, and works better … like a two panel file manager for DOS – does not matter if terminal or GUI based.
Everything for the most efficient and best way to work.
I can package files into archive with Beezer addon and can set the file names of the archive - if I want - most Haiku apps do not want to decide against or besides my will. I can upload it with another addon to get it for someone.
There are replicants - cute like a gem as Clock demo, or useful as Weather or workplaces.
Besides a Windows machine, now I have a floating digital clock, that shows time on all workspace even above a full desktop YT or movie window. I’t’s a program written in yab ! It was a missing piece and this Summer I have it finally.
Some tasks are better in Terminal, some tasks are more convenient on GUI - I can say that as I started on home computer and DOS, and I heard about GUI element and Windows (3.1 actually) verbally from my older schoolmate on a weekly bus travel back home. He had a 386 AT PC at home with Windows, that was rare, as in my school in 1987-1988 there were only one IBM XT machine, others in the IT lab were several home computers : Hungarian produced VideoTon 64K ones and some several Commodore 16, Plus4, 64.
Only upper class students has access to that XT machine to develop in Pascal or C, (C++, maybe), but personally it belonged to one of the mathematician and IT role teacher. With DOS only, no Netware or Windows. Still in socialist/communist era. This machine came from a bigger national firm in same city as donation to our industrial technikum and high school, as they were already could have bought IBM AT machine already.
So, I have no boredom in front of any computer - and I just hate progs/apps what are not obvious to use and/or the designer made the decision to take away decisions when the programs work and should have personal decisions, regarding input/output fromat and if config possible to determine how to process stuff during work - automatically done, and setup taken away.
These are the factors besides hope that more drivers arrive to support my existing hardwares, and ports are also evolving fixing currently not configurable features as finally configurable without my assistance on any alinated surfaces.
