… and I’m just getting started on optimizations; for those keeping an eye on Gerrit, you may have noticed this patch which provides a 10x-20x (on HDDs) up to 200x (on SSDs) boost to inode write performance. That’s right: the “stuttering” when moving files or emptying Trash will now be completely gone!
